EANTC was again commissioned to check the results of the update by the service provider and uncover potential faults by measuring the WAN links. This included verifying if the contractually agreed characteristics were delivered by the service provider as stated in the service level agreements (SLAs). In addition, the configuration was evaluated with respect to functionality and accuracy.
The aim of our first test series was to prove the concept of the new design of HVB IS' security infrastructure regarding performance, scalability, robustness, and high availability. Furthermore we wanted to test and define the optimal configuration for the future deployment. The goal of our second test series was the comparison of two firewall solutions from different vendors. The test results and analyses substantially supported the purchase decision of HVB IS.
The aim of the network analysis was to evaluate the performance of the core ATM network together with the local and wide area networks built upon the ATM core. The necessary tests and measurements had to be conducted within the production network of EWE AG and EWE TEL and critically, without interfering any of the users. A separate test bed was available only for reference tests. Another aim of the test was to verify benchmarks obtained by the network management system.
The project aim was to support HVB Info in preparing a network software upgrade. The ATM backbone devices of the network would then be upgraded to a new software version. This backbone would connect the different locations of the HypoVereinsbank.
The objective of this project with MobilCom Mulitmedia GmbH was to evaluate the features and performance parameters of ATM switches. The switches were selected by MobilCom AG and were intended to build up the backbone of their new 3G / UMTS core network.
EANTC AG provided consultancy services for Deutsche Post World Net during the design and set-up phases of their global backbone. This included providing protocol architectures, topologies and solutions for VPNs, routing and assessing quality of service in the project team of Deutsche Post World Net. In particular, we made available our considerable expertise in regard to Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), IP-technologies and their associated scalability.
The objective of the LAN analysis was to measure the load levels of the network and to identify possible bottle-necks that were occurring. In addition, there was the need to carry out a detailed protocol analysis in order to reach conclusions about whether or not they should proceed with a possible expansion of the network.
The remit of EANTC was to carry out measurements to analyse errors in selected LAN segments. The aim was to identify potential causes for non-determinist performance bottle-necks.
The project aim was quality assurance in regard to the migration of the data network of Düsseldorf Airport to a more advanced and modern network. The following performance package was agreed upon with the customer: Production of a detailed test plan to cover all test scenarios. Besides, measurements of the performance and durability of selected network components at the various protocol levels and measurements at typical points in order to facilitate the evaluation of the performance of the overall network should be conducted. Furthermore, EANTC was commissioned to support the process of network swapping with protocol analysers and prepare presentation and evaluation of the results in a full and comprehensive test report.
The aim of the project was to demonstrate the performance characteristics of NortelNetworks Passport 7000 / 15000 ATM Multi-Service Switches within the framework of a call for tenders by a carrier customer. In the first instance, EANTC drew up a full test plan together with Kapsch AG. During this process, Kapsch AG was able to draw on the detailed knowledge of EANTC regarding test strategies for ATM, IP, MPLS as well as speech quality. Possible test scenarios were selected and test configurations were subsequently drawn up. Finally, EANTC carried out the test scenarios in the test laboratories of Kapsch AG. Part of this testing process was in the presence of the carrier customer and the results were made available for all parties in a detailed test report.
The aim of this project was to carry out commissioning measurements for a data network of the customer that had been recently set up. After tests, the new network was to be linked with the existing network and integrated in the production process. Performance measurements of individual pieces of equipment and typical transmission routes were conducted. Besides, EANTC tested the configurations and their interactions in the network set-up. Furthermore, EANTC measured the scalability of the network and the redundancy.
On the basis of the existing SDH network of DDkom, an ATM network needed to be developed. The network would be used to provide the customers of DDkom with a variety of ATM services. The specific goal of the project was to evaluate the technical advantages and disadvantages of ATM components of five different manufacturers against the background of the demands of DDkom and its key customers on the planned ATM network.
The goal of the project with IP23 was to carry out performance and reliability measurements on the accounting system via a certification series. Together with IP23, the following EANTC performance package was agreed upon developing a detailed test plan with a clear definition of each individual test case. Addionally, EANTC was commissioned to implement the performance and reliability measurements in accordance with a test plan and to create a detailed test report.
The project aims were to provide support with the formulation of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) between the Deutsche Messe AG in Hanover and the service provider for Internet and Campus IP services. Further, EANTC should draw up detailed test plans in respect of the SLAs and carry out the measurements on the basis of the test plan. At the end, EANTC should draw up an extensive report with detailed results and a clear evaluation.
