EANTC hosted the fifteenth Broadband Forum GPON Interoperability Plugfest (GPON15). System Integrators, ONT/ONU vendors, OLT vendors, and OMCI stack vendors had the opportunity to test their equipment with others in the industry for interoperability and obtained valuable quality assurance feedback and results.

The tests focused on the use of ONU Management Control Interface (OMCI - ITU-T G.988 and G.988 Amendment 1) to configure VoIP endpoints and multicast video applications, making use of the IPhost configuration which has been tested in the past. The test plan allowed ONU and ONT equipment against both OLT equipment and OLT emulators. The test plan was developed by EANTC in collaboration with participating vendors.
